Active and Passive Legos

Filed under: Mr. H —— Mr. Hetherington @ 7:08 pm

Nancy McKeand, who has commented on some of your posts, discovered this fun way to learn about active and passive sentences.

Here is a quick quiz. Which of the following sentences is active, and which is passive and WHYyyyyyy?
Derek Jeter drove the ball deep into the seats.

The ball was driven deep into the seats by Derrek Jeter.

Not sure, go to the above link and learn from the lego guy, Troy Sterling.

Hello everyone! I was just checking out Mr. Hetherington’s website and was glad to see so many of you are still posting blogs. OF COURSE I had to check out the LA oriented web site Mr. H. recommended. It was a good way for me to review active and passive sentences. If you have a few minutes, check it out. It may come in handy next year in 7th grade LA.
