Goodbye Everything of Sixth Grade.

Filed under: Classroom Happenings, SaraH, 6V —— sarah @ 11:45 pm

We’ve had good times, and bad times in sixth grade. We’ve had time’s where we all laugh, and time’s where someone is toast. Anyways, we’ve all had many times, and they all are important in their own special way.

I’d just like to thank everyone for making all those “time’s” happen whether they were good or bad.

Also, I hope everyone has a good summer and I’ll see alot of you next year!

**Ps: This will be my last post on Room 613 Student Blogs. Thanks Mr. Hetherington for making the blog in the first place. =’)

When You Left

When You Left
by Sarah D.

I’m lying in bed
Your voice is in my head
Can’t get you out of my mind
You were so friendly so kind
All the good times we had
Until we got really mad
Things have changed since you went away

My heart is empty
Everythings a blurr
I wish things were back to how they were
Things have changed since you went away

Everythings quiet
I don’t know what to do
All I can say is that I really miss you
Things have changed since you went away

Everythings different
Everythings changed
And now that your gone things won’t be the same
Things have changed since you went away

Why Me??

Why Me?

By Allie B

Every day when you walk into school you trip up the steps and ask, “Why me?”

Every day some one makes fun of you, you ask “Why me”

Every night your dinner’s cold and no ones home and you ask “Why me?’

Every dream is a night mare waiting to come true and you ask “Why me?”

Every step aches from sleeping on the floor and you ask “Why me?”

Every smile is crooked, bent and ugly, and you ask “Why me?”

And every boy seams to hurt you and you ask, “Why me ?”

And every girl seams to hate you so, ask “Why me?”

Every thing goes wrong and you ask, “Why me?”

But then you stop tripping, and there are no teasing voices, but “Why?”

And dinners hot and the tables crowded, but, “Why?’

And at night it’s soft beds and sweet dreams, but “Why?’

And your smile doesn’t seem as bad, but “Why?’

Boys are nice and no more rumors are spread, but “Why?”

And everything is right. Why? Because you’ve got a friend who takes you into her house, her family, under her wing. You’re safe, she saves you.

There is someone everywhere who experiences, “Why me?”’s and there are friends who help them, so be a friend and stop “why me” ’s from hitting your school.

Good Night Moon

Filed under: Poetry, AllieB, 6V —— allieb @ 10:20 pm

Say good night moon before rest because tomorrow there will be sun,

Say good night moon every night because tomorrow it maybe gone

Say good night moon every night for there maybe no tomorrow and no moon

Say good night moon for it’s there to listen to you and lull you to sleep

Say good night moon cause I said so!

Live Each Day

Live Each Day……

By Allie B

Live each day like the sun won’t come up again,

Live each day like the world will blow tomorrow,

Live each day like you were dying

Live each day to it’s fullest

Life doesn’t have a purpose with- out the kid that sits behind you just to make you crack up!

Live each day like it will be your last laugh

Live each day like the person you love most will disappear

Live each day for the smiles will fade

Live each day peacefull and happy

Live each day until it’s your last!

Dedicated to all those who take their life for granted.

The Ultimate Loch Ness Monster!

Nessy — The Ultimate Loch Ness Monster

The ultimate Loch Ness monster otherwise known as Nessy is a tale that has been going on for years.

First we’ll start off talking about Nessy’s appearance. Nessy is supposedly supposed to look like a salamander kind of with a long neck, chubby body, four fins, and a tail.

So far their is no proof of Nessy’s existence but many people claim to have seen him or her but they do know where Nessy lives, that place would be Loch Ness!

Deciding if Nessy is real or not is hard to decide, especially when you see how many people claim to have once seen the beautiful monster and some evidence they have found.

Here is tooth supposedly belonging to Nessy:

But then again, their are many things that could be mistaken for this creature such as in this case. The following picture was believed to be actual proof of nessy for quite some time but then one person found out that this was an imposter. Very sadening if you ask me!

Using this we can now say that how do we know that these people arent lying about what they saw or maybe someone is setting an imposter. Plus, this tale has been carried on for years, I would think that Nessy would have died by now. Unless, maybe, just maybe Nessy is breeding! Plus, dont you think that if Nessy was real someone other then best friends that could be setting a scam would have seen him or her by now? I mean, where could the tooth had come from? A dinasaur perhaps?

Is Nessy real or fake? What do you think?

We’ve Been Reviewed! Thank You Room 140!

Filed under: Social Studies, Mr. H, Classroom Happenings —— Mr. Hetherington @ 5:18 pm

Recently our weblog was reviewed by 7th grade students from another school. As part of their assignment, the students of Room 140 were asked to read and blog about five student blogs from around the world. Room 613 Student Blogs was first on their review list and many students made very positive comments on your work. Here are just a few of the comments from the Room 140 students:
“I think that the blogs are very interesting. I think so because they are detailed and persuasive. The one that I liked the most was Room 613 Student Blogs because they had very interesting articles. One of them was The Poison Dart Frog. This article gives me immense information on the frog such as what it looks like, how it can harm us, and they also provide pictures of it.”

Way to go Kosta!

“I read multitudes of middle school blogs today were interesting and interactive, but some are not. There was one blog titled “Room 613″ and it was truly amazing. There blog had astonishing details and animation. There is an ocean of articles and information in this blog. In this blog I found a game called club penguin. The person who wrote this made that game sound exiting and not boring. The blog about Club Penguin told you how to play the game and was very detailed.”

Good Job SaraH.

“The kids in Room 613 have one of those blog sites. What makes this site so cool is that it talks about a lot of stuff, like as if they can right whatever they want, but isn’t that what a blog is for…YEA! They talk about the Three Gorge Dam, humorous photos, TV programs, science, space, etc. This blog also is like the normal life of a middle school kid, fun and interesting. It is very interesting and made me not want to stop reading it. Because of its perfect combination of pictures and text, it will always make a person wide awake and might teach them something in the process.”

And finally

WOW! You have a really creative and informative page. Love your pictures because it catches reader’s attention. The banana phone is really funny. Maybe that will be the next popular thing. The links where you got the information from is a very helpful tool. I like that you have multiple information. Such as science, some history, and important people. It’s like a one stop information page. Your writing is excellent as well, big words and great opinions.

Room 613 Students, I’m very proud of your accomplishments this year. Keep writing!
